I was just paging through an old STEP magazine from Jan/Feb 2004 and found Mary Ping from SSWTR highlighted in upcoming and emerging artists to watch. Her white canvas deconstructed designer bags were noted - that is what caught my eye - I thought I was dreaming after reading your post...I went back to the mag and sought the page out and yes, it was the same designer!
