Norwegian photographer Trine Thorsen’s portfolio is absolutely stunning. Each photo makes me think, well, I want to go to there.
The other day I bought a little record cabinet (for Ryan’s thinned out, but still huge, record collection) and the woman who was selling it had a fantastic vintage metal locker as well. We passed on it because we were driving our car and didn’t have room, but these pictures (here’s the tie-in) of reclaimed cabinets make me realize our mistake. We should’ve strapped it to the roof of our car. Or, you know, maybe rented a truck.
In any case, you need to click through her portfolio (but be prepared to spend some time oohing and aahing):

About
Britt McMaster is addicted to cucumbers. She and her husband, Ryan, live and work in a tiny apartment in downtown Vancouver, BC. Both Ryan and Britt love to write lists of all their ideas on action sheets, and they have pages and pages. They write especially quickly after they've each had a dry cappuccino or two. Most of those fanciful ideas will stay on paper, but Cucumbersome is Britt's platform to try some out.

i need a ladder for my shoes. now. they would all be so happy on a ladder.
Yes! I want to do that too! Too bad you live on the opposite side of the country, otherwise we could go find rickety ladders together.
Oh, dear! Look at the bathroom “vanity” picture. She has a heavy, large glass mirror on top of a table with WHEELS. She has obviously tried to block the wheels from moving with her garbage can, but it would be hard to reach the pedal on the garbage can without moving it forward, which would allow the wheels on the table to turn, which would pull away from the wall which would send the mirror crashing to the floor! Yikes!
i really enjoy your blog - when i found it i read through ALL of your previous entries - but i wish you’d update more often!
