Form & Function

These double-walled beauties by Bodum are the best glasses ever. I will admit that I bought them purely based on the appearance (two walls? I’m in!), but we quickly realized how well designed they really are. We have the 8.5 oz. version (on the right) and use them all the time. Steaming hot coffee and tea doesn’t burn your hands off, which has been a problem with other handle-less mugs in the past. Similarly, if you like the occassional bourbon on the rocks, the ice takes much longer to melt because the heat from your hands doesn’t transfer as much. The smaller 2 oz. size is perfect for pulling espresso shots. You don’t need to preheat them, and you can clearly see the nice crema.
…Just a random little tidbit for you. In other news, I think the apartment search is over! And I have made my peace with the linear kitchen.

Those glasses are awesome! You forgot one of their major features - in addition to the fact that you don’t burn your hands off when there is hot liquid in it, when there is cold liquid in it on a hot day you don’t get any condensation on the outside and therefore no watermarks on furniture. No need for coasters any longer!

hey, your website is pretty neat, great job. I knew some people working at Molo Design for a while in Vancouver where you could buy similar style glasses. I think their items are genius. Check it out if you’d like.

Britt McMaster is addicted to cucumbers. She and her husband, Ryan, live and work in a tiny apartment in downtown Vancouver, BC. Both Ryan and Britt love to write lists of all their ideas on action sheets, and they have pages and pages. They write especially quickly after they've each had a dry cappuccino or two. Most of those fanciful ideas will stay on paper, but Cucumbersome is Britt's platform to try some out.
