Last month I had a dream about a really delicately stitched blanket that looked like an antique map. Today I saw this on Apartment Therapy…
Isn’t it gorgeous? Stitched in raw silk! You can order custom Soft Maps of your hometown or favorite place. Wouldn’t it be a sweet baby gift with details about where the [...]

I’m so excited to show you all the inspiring work from Kate. She uses lots of free patterns to make her gorgeous clothes, but they are heavily altered and tastefully embellished. I really love her fabric choices.
I was particularly taken with the shirt shown above. There are several corsage-style shirts out there right now at [...]

I’ve gone fabric necklace crazy! These necklaces by Lizzie Fortunato are so gorgeous and have equally beautiful names. The one on the top right is called “The Secret Hero of These Poems Necklace”. Isn’t that fantastic? The bottom three are from the (much) cheaper eight-piece collection that will be sold at Urban Outfitters in July, [...]

I’m loving the portfolio site of Becky Hogg. She studied at the Royal School of Needlework and has embroidered David Beckham’s shoes, among other things.
Check it out here.

It makes me so happy.

Maybe it’s because I just read Molly Wizenberg’s book in which she fondly recalls memories of Paris as a child, but I have been loving the A chair by Tolix lately. It’s like bringing a Parisian bistro home.
They’re sold at Design Within Reach here and, with for slightly cheaper at Pottery Barn here. I would [...]

Norwegian photographer Trine Thorsen’s portfolio is absolutely stunning. Each photo makes me think, well, I want to go to there.
The other day I bought a little record cabinet (for Ryan’s thinned out, but still huge, record collection) and the woman who was selling it had a fantastic vintage metal locker as well. We passed [...]

This photo is from anthropologie, seen here. I absolutely love the feel of this photo - the feel of worn-down vintage mixed with clean and modern. Mmm. But these items are just a wee bit out of my budget. So I decided to track down some (much) cheaper alternatives to create a similar look. (No [...]

I’m so thrilled to see that someone has knitted themselves some poufs! The DWR Flocks Poufs have been taunting me for too long now. Thankfully, the clever creators over at Pickle have posted a tutorial in English (it’s a Norwegian blog).
Now I just need to learn how to knit….
anyone want to knit me one, or [...]
