Baby Giraffe

giraffeshadowweb.jpg

This is the giraffe that I made for a baby gift. We have to ship it off right away but I thought I’d post a picture because I’m pretty proud of this, my first attempt at a stuffed animal. I really love the ones I saw at Wren Handmade, but they were $60 each. One of my lines is “I could make that” but I rarely follow through. Hurrah for finishing a project!

I think he needs a name… hmm…

I like his big ears ever so much. You know I can’t resist the Naming of Something. I’d call ‘em Jefferson or Yop or Skibby or Captain Henbottom or Bivvy or SwordBlaster or RazzmaTazz or Hib or Toger. Ooh, let it be Toger (because he’s so tall)

he’s fantastic! i adore him completely. i am continually impressed by your actually completing projects. i would say your track record is pretty darn good. much better than mine. i’m cut off from buying any more craft or art supplies until i finish what i have. i’ll probably be set for the year.

and i second toger. but could it be captain toger? i really like the captain part.

Britt McMaster is addicted to cucumbers. She and her husband, Ryan, live and work in a tiny apartment in downtown Vancouver, BC. Both Ryan and Britt love to write lists of all their ideas on action sheets, and they have pages and pages. They write especially quickly after they've each had a dry cappuccino or two. Most of those fanciful ideas will stay on paper, but Cucumbersome is Britt's platform to try some out.
